Sept. 11, 2001 was the saddest day in US history.  3044  people were killed by pure madness of some terrorists, attacking  New York city and elsewhere. Four planes commandeered by Al Qautta hijackers slammed into the Pentagon and New York's landmark World Trade Center on Tuesday September 11, 2001, burying thousands of people alive. The 4th airplane crash outskirt of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania killing everybody on board.

265 people killed on four planes; 232 passengers, 25 flight attendants, 8 pilots, 19 hijackers.
2654 people were presumed dead at World trade Center.  The Pentagon reports 125 staffers killed or missing.
